Wah Hoo is the Director of NGOhub. During the 6 years working for an NGO, he helped established and kickstart more than 25 rural and urban community education centers nationwide as Director of Outreach, serve as Director of Operations managing a national project running concurrently in 15 locations with a team of more than 70 members, and more recently bringing NGOs in Malaysia together working with government ministries, the Welfare Department, volunteer groups and corporations to solve social issues together.

Professor Dr Rosmawati is the Master, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia and the President of Hepatitis Free Malaysia. She is a Consultant Hepatologist at the University Malaya Medical Centre, Co-chairperson of the WHO Global and Western-Pacific Region Strategic and Technical Advisory Committee for Viral Hepatitis, Executive Council Member of the Asian-Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver, Co-chairperson and founding member of the Coalition to Eradicate Viral Hepatitis in the Asia Pacific, and Council Member of International Coalition of Hepatology Education Providers.

Mr Santhanam is the Founder President of Prostate Cancer Society Malaysia. This society was formed to consolidate all the supporting groups he set up and met during his journey of fighting over Prostate cancer which he was diagnosed with at the age of 63. For the last 15 years, he have been an advocate and the driving force with cancer survivor groups and therapists to bring positive change and comfort to cancer patients. He believes the role of the group is very important where the survivors meet together, sometimes with the presence of Urologists and Oncologists.

Mr Daniel became a Board member of St. Nicholas’ Home on a voluntary basis in 1997 and served as a sub-committee chairman for many years. He was invited to take over as the Executive Director of St. Nicholas’ Home in 2010 and continues in that capacity today. He has also been invited to share his expertise and experience as a trainer in the area of NGO governance, management and fundraising. As the Executive Director, Mr Daniel introduced and presided over many new initiatives and programmes for St. Nicholas’ Home.

Capt K. Bala is a prominent safety activist, safety advocate, emergency survival trainer and a humanitarian figure in Malaysia. He is the founder and chairman of Malaysia International Search and Rescue (MISAR) & Malaysian Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association (MVFRA). He is the President of Road Safety Marshal Club (RSMC). He has 23 years of experience in the search and rescue arena. He has led his team of SAR volunteer members to serve in numerous international and local SAR operation and also humanitarian aid. He was featured as one of the icon for Malaysia WiraNegaraku.

Promoted as the Director of volunteers, Parents and Families Sub-Committee for the terms of 2002-2006, the Coach of Athletics and Bocce, Chief de Mission to 5th Special Plympics Singapore National Games in 2005 and the Deputy Chief De Mission to 12th Special Plympics New Zealand State Games. Techincal Officials for both Athletics and Bocce in Special Olympics Malaysia National Games 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2014. Currently as a Sports Director for Special Olympics Selangor (SOSgor) for the term 2018-2020.

Mr. Wong is the Manager for the Centre for Accessibility, Research and Empowerment for the Blind at the National Council for the Blind, Malaysia (NCBM). He is also the Vice President of the Malaysian Confederation of the Disabled. He has vast experience in work for the blind and persons with disabilities in the areas of special education, employment, ICT, accessibility, audio description, advocacy, empowerment and public awareness. He has been appointed as the member of the Penang Accessibility Action Group 2017-2018.

Mohd Ashraff Khan Md Najib has an interesting off-work project assisting the homeless communities on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. Ashraff spearheads his own NGO called the ‘Empire Project’. While Empire Project may have begun as a street-feeding drive, Ashraff was quick to innovate the organization’s approach on assisting the homeless by introducing new and practical ways of lending a helping hand. Adopting an anti-food waste mindset, he drove the team to focus on more long-term goals and approaches – many of which turned out to be the first of its kind in Malaysia.

Mr I. S. Shanmugaraj was appointed as the Executive Director of Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) in April 2015. He has 21 years of experience and championing Environmental Education Division, from the inception of Kuala Selangor Nature Park, Selangor in 1987 until the latest Vale Eco Centre launching in 2015. He is managing 7 Centres nationwide under the Environmental Education Division, leading the Kelab Pencinta Alam since 1991. To date, there are 400 schools and 20,000 members in this arm.

A teacher by profession, he has Masters in English as Second Language (UM) and a degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from UPSI. Served as a teacher for the past 35 years in various secondary schools in Pahang and Selangor. He retired recently as Head of the Language Department of a school in PJ. Facilitates the Peace Education Programme workshops as a volunteer. Has helped facilitate the PEP at Taylors University and the Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB) among others.
